Do you have an hour a week or more to give? Are you ready to get started?
Whether you have a professional teaching background or not, there's a place for you at the Brunner Literacy Center. BLC volunteers come from all walks of life - teachers, yes, and also accountants, engineers, homemakers, and more. Whatever skills you have, there are adult students who want to learn what you can teach. The BLC will prepare you to become a tutor or to help in a number of other ways - administration, event planning, and others. Let us know how you can help, and we'll get you trained. Tutors are needed at both BLC locations and for distance learning opportunities including evening and weekend availability. Distance learning may take place in person at public locations such as libraries and coffee shops, or virtually via video or phone calls. Attending a volunteer orientation is necessary regardless of when, where, and how you would like to volunteer. To schedule your individual orientation session, please call the BLC at 937-567-9600. | ||||||||||
