Here's how the process works:
- Contact us.
You call the BLC (937-567-9600) or submit the form below to let us know what your goals are. - Make an intake appointment.
A member of our program staff work with you to schedule a first appointment so we can get to know each other better. Intake appointments are typically offered on Mondays and Wednesdays, but we can work with your schedule. - Visit BLC Shiloh Springs for your intake appointment.
When you come in for your intake appointment, you will sit down with a staff member to share some more information about your background and your goals. You will also take a short test that helps us understand what materials and lesson plans will be the best fit to help you achieve your goals. - Meet your tutor.
Shortly after your intake appointment, a program staff member will match you with one or more tutors, depending on your needs. You and your tutor will get each other's contact information so you can schedule your first meeting together. At that meeting, you and your tutor will get to know each other, decide on your meeting schedule, and go over your learning materials. - Work toward your goals.
Once you and your tutor have made your schedule, you will meet regularly to work on your lesson plans. Your learning plan is made just for you, so it is important to attend every appointment and do any assigned homework. Improving your skills takes a lot of dedicated, hard work, and everyone at the BLC is here to support you every step of the way.
