Giving Tuesday is a day to celebrate the best parts of the human spirit. It is a day to reflect on community, to consider the bigger picture, and to give back to the organizations that provide crucial services to people in need. This year, Giving Tuesday falls on November 29th. Charities and non-profit businesses all over the world participate in the day, and to great success so far in Giving Tuesday's short history. In just four years total donations made on Giving Tuesday have increased from $10 million in 2012 to just shy of $117 million in 2015. Donors find extra joy in joining the global generosity movement, sharing their gifts with their communities on this designated day. The Brunner Literacy Center's goal is to raise $2,000 on Giving Tuesday 2016, and to raise $5,000 by the end of the year. Every amount helps the BLC to continue to provide educational services and materials to our students free of charge.
