Improving education in the Dayton area is truly a team effort, and we need your help.
Whether you have a teaching background or not, whether you can give one hour a week or ten, there's a place for you here at the BLC. BLC volunteers come from many walks of life: engineers, teachers, nurses, research analysts, accountants, homemakers, carpenters, mechanics, and artists. A tutor’s background does not matter as much as possessing a sincere willingness to help others. Our tutors are:

Please complete and submit the Volunteer Application linked above. Applications will be accepted prior to or on your orientation date.
We do encourage you to submit your application ahead of time, as all volunteers must agree to a background check (at no cost to you), and it does take a little time to get the results back. You will not be able to begin volunteering before the BLC has received the results of your background check.

- Attach it to your Orientation Registration Form (above)
