What is a virtual 5K?We are glad you asked!
A virtual 5K is a 5K that you get to run, walk, or jog wherever you prefer - your neighborhood, school, favorite park... Anywhere! Register online, train safely, and upload your results from the convenience of your own home. The BLC puts the health and safety of our community above all else. While COVID-19 prevents us from being together in person this year, we want to share the camaraderie of our annual 5K with you from afar. |

Will there be a raffle this year?Yes! You may purchase raffle tickets when you register for the 5K or right here on our website by making a donation in an amount that corresponds to the quantity of tickets you wish to purchase.
Raffle tickets are $5 for one ticket or $25 for a bundle of six tickets. This year the BLC 5K raffle will be a little smaller than in previous years, but you will still have a chance to win one of three cash prizes:

How can I sponsor the BLC's 2020 Virtual 5K?Sponsorship works much the same as in previous years.
Simply download the sponsorship packet, complete the second page, and return it! You may scan and email your completed paperwork to BLC Board Member and 5K Event Chair, Georgeana Gartrell, or you may mail it to the BLC at 4825 Salem Ave, Dayton, OH 45416. You may also make your sponsorship gift online at this link or by mail at the above address. |

Is there a t-shirt this year?This year the BLC is giving every participant a face mask instead of a t-shirt. A mock-up of a design is pictured to the left; please note that this image may not accurately reflect the final artwork, which is still being finalized.
Face masks will be mailed to all 5K participants in October. Register by October 2nd to guarantee your free face mask! |
